The National Treasury Cabinet Secretary, Henry Rotich, has slashed the KSh 3.026 trillion national budget for the 2018-2019 financial year by KSh 55 billion, a decision that would affect budget allocations to several key government ministries.
Rotich revised the national budget to KSh 2.971 trillion by cutting allocations to various sectors in attempt to address the crippling fiscal deficit while at the same time trying to raise funds for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four agenda. Read more
